I remember once in high school, my junior told me: "The world doesn't revolve around you." Ouchhh. Girl! For a moment it stung because I was looking for attention and focused only on myself and what I could gain. She was right. It doesn't. But what about those moments when you are not even seeking attention? Still, the truth remains: The world doesn’t revolve around you. Yes, you are the main character of your life. You should take the lead, own your story, and show up boldly. But here’s a comforting truth: the world does not revolve around you. And that’s not a bad thing in fact, it’s incredibly freeing.
