THE WORLD DOESN'T REVOLVE AROUND YOU - PART 1

I remember once in high school, my junior told me: "The world doesn't revolve around you." Ouchhh. Girl!

For a moment it stung because I was looking for attention and focused only on myself and what I could gain. She was right. It doesn't. But what about those moments when you are not even seeking attention? Still, the truth remains: The world doesn’t revolve around you.

Yes, you are the main character of your life. You should take the lead, own your story, and show up boldly. But here’s a comforting truth: the world does not revolve around you. And that’s not a bad thing in fact, it’s incredibly freeing. Isn't that amazing?

Often, we walk through life thinking everyone is watching our every move, analyzing our every step, and holding on to our every mistake. We assume people still remember that embarrassing moment from last week, last month, or even years ago - or that failure we haven’t forgiven ourselves for. But the truth is, most people are too busy living their own lives to stay focused on ours.

Yet we trap ourselves. We stay in mental bondage, reliving moments others have long forgotten. We carry shame, fear, and guilt for things that are no longer relevant, not to the world, and not even to the people who were involved. Even if someone does remember, it’s likely fleeting. Meanwhile, you’re still stuck, still beating yourself up, still holding back.

It’s time to let yourself be free.

You are not your past. You are not your mistakes. And you are definitely not the center of everyone's attention. The moment you embrace this, life becomes lighter. You’ll start to move differently; not with shame, but with freedom. Not with fear, but with growth in mind.

So, live. Really live. Laugh. Make new memories. Explore, learn, and create. Start your healing. Enjoy your life without guilt. Let go of the need for perfection and public approval. The people you’re afraid are watching? They’re not. And if they are, it’s only for a moment.

Choose your peace, your freedom and your growth.

Embrace your own joy and Phukira. Because the world doesn’t revolve around you and that’s what makes it beautiful.
